LUCY ROGERS
FIBER ARTIST
Hilltop Handspun started in the 1980s, when I lived on a hilltop, spinning yarn and knitting all my own creations. My business name was born from that simple combination of place and craft. The business went on a long hiatus from the mid-1980s until 2007. Now retired, I am happily creating again, with a shop open to the public. Today, the yarn I sell is spun from alpaca, wool, angora rabbit, and mohair fleeces sourced from local farms and processed at small mills right here in Maine. The stunning Western Maine mountains inspire my hand-dyed colors, which are made with natural and organic dyes. My work is created and sold from my location in Lovell, Maine.
