My home in the rural Western Maine foothills of the White Mountains makes a lovely back drop for fiber creations. The process of designing yarns and knitwear starts with whole fleeces that I buy from local farmers. At times I hand spin the wool directly from the bag of raw wool and then wash the hand spun yarn. At other times I send the bags of alpaca, angora rabbit, wool or mohair to local fiber mills to be processed into roving(washed and combed fiber) or yarn. Additional steps include dying the fibers with artisan and natural dyes either in the wool or after yarn is made. Often the yarns are hand painted. Please view the links to farms and mills on the links page.  I  sell the single plied hand spun yarn in 100 yard skeins and also locally mill spun yarn hand dyed with natural dyes and artisan dyes.

My Goals
  • To maintain the highest quality standards for my products.
  • To use locally grown fibers with emphasis on supporting organic farms and small businesses.
  • To decrease the use of fossil fuels by working at home in a craft using electricity free machines ( my spinning wheel and knitting machine) and by staying off the roads.
  • To provide the best customer service possible.
  • Special orders are accepted with gratitude.
